Patriotic fervour , parade, colourful drills mark Independence celebrations at NHVPS !!

Commemorating the 70th Independence day, National Hill View Public School, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, presented a mélange of patriotic activities which created an atmosphere of national pride among the staff and students of the school. Additional Trustee Secretary, National Education Foundation, Mr.Venkatappa, who was the chief guest, hoisted the national flag and took the salute at the colourful parade . The Principal, Mrs.Rama Ranganathan administered the oath of office to the School Captain, Sanjani Girirajan; Vice-Captain, Karthik Vittal G.S ; Sports Captain, Karan Keerthan B.P; the student council leaders, the House Captains and Vice-Captains. Addressing the students Mr. Venkatappa urged the students to remember the sacrifices of the patriots and martyrs who laid down their lives during the freedom struggle and to pay tributes to those who sought to free their motherland from the clutches of foreign rule. He said ,“ The country needs the youth of India to become the great heroes of tomorrow .”The Principal Mrs. Rama Ranganathan said that the students should get inspired by the martyrs of freedom movement and get motivated towards performing their national duty. She said , “ Belief and faith are even now the two decisive elements in our existence.” The Principal advised the children to pledge themselves to become the best children to their parents , their teachers , to their society and to their country.

To keep aglow the flame of patriotism , the students from classes I – VII performed colourful drills and rendered patriotic songs that awakened everyone’s feelings towards their motherland . Students from high school shared their views on the significance of the day. The school Vice-Captain proposed the Vote of thanks and appreciated everyone for their whole-hearted co-operation.
